The Dichotomy of the Brain

Logical vs creative was what I was always taught as the difference between left and right brain. Not terribly accurate. Jill Bolte Taylor, a neuro anatomist, had a massive stroke in her left brain one morning and ended up living in her right brain for the most part of her 8 year recovery. She emerged as a kind of scientific buddha.

Dr. Taylor gives an extremely entertaining and enlightening talk at a TED conference, but has also written a book, My Stroke of Insight, that just came out in paperback.
