I spent my formative years in Marlton, NJ – a classic example of suburban sprawl and commercial excess, though not without its mildly historic small town charms. I left the vinyl siding and shopping malls for brownstones and bars, moved into a NYU dorm on Washington Square West. Smoking in front of the dorm use to offer you choice of  either the Empire State, a classic beauty, or the Twin Towers, the lassez faire blonde twins of male fantasy. Losing that choice, jolted me out of my initial fear of the city and having my bubbled popped.

The past 8 years in NYC have been transformative and whatever I manage to create on this website is an expression of this metamorphisis. That or the new bubble I’m, we’re, living in.
